Best paragliding site near Zarnesti, from here in some special days you can reach Piatra Mica and Piatra Craiului Mountains, absolutely breathtaking view.

Location Access: From Zarnesti you have to drive to Magura village as close to the GPS coordinates as possible, then hike an hour and a half or more to the take off.

Takeoff : NE Orientation, Altitude: 1256 m

For good soaring conditions, a steady NE wind is recommended.

The shape of the take off will make all  incoming winds feel stronger than they are, it is recommended to arrive at take off early in the day or else the wind may be too strong for safe takeoffs.

Landing: Usually as close to Gura Raului lodge for easy car recovery, if you can’t reach the spot, anywhere at the base of the mountain  you deem safe.

Accommodation: Many pensions and bed&breakfast in Magura Village and Zarnesti.

The area is very scenic, in Zarnesti you will find hotels and motels or you can accommodate in Brasov.
